The two first of 777-300ERs has just arrived to the fleet to make the airline able to fly more passengers in long range routes. At the following of this arrival, New York flights are now upgraded to 777-300ERs. Also painting new livery on this new birds make them looking more awesome and well-dressed!

Now there are more flights departing toward Johannesburg and Mumbai. Johannesburg early morning flight is now operated 6 times a week; so the South African city is now totally operated 8 times weekly. Also another addition to Mumbai flights, increased frequncies to 15 weekly flights which one daily is operated by widebodies. Both Mumbai and Johannesburg flights are connected to each other, and also to Simorgh Air European / American network.

As the fleet of triple seven is expanding, the vast route map grows within the continents. This time it is a pleasure for us to introduce Tokyo, as a fresh destination and the second gateway to Japan after the powerful Osaka. The route is being operated daily by the fleet of 777. Tokyo is one of powerful business hubs and is fully connected to Simorgh Air European / American network.

It has been always a policy for Simorgh Air to expand within Britain and this time, the brand new destination is Birmingham. Since 15th May Birmingham is served daily by Airbus A330; so the British network expanded to 4 destinations and the flight schedules contains 5 daily flights to the Kingdom. The fresh addition flight departs Tehran every morning at 01:35 GMT and returns at 14:55 GMT in the evening.

Subsidiary cargo airline of Simorgh Air, Simorgh Air Cargo is to launch the beginning flights within Iran by the end of April. The first full cargo ATR72 has joined the fleet and is planned to operate freighter domestic flights to major cities of Iran. All cargo flights will depart from Mehrabad Airport until the cargo terminal of Imam Khomeini Airport will be operational.

After several contacts of Iranian Virtual Airlines such as Simorgh Air VA with FSAirlines administrators, finally a new version of FSAirlines client is released for Iranian pilots which is so essential for them to download it. The pilots must download the file and overwrite it on their current client; so they will never have to use anti filter softwares to run the client. Please enjoy it!

Simorgh Air added the first chinese destination to its growing network. The VA is now flying daily to Beijing nonstop and it is planned for the VA to fly to other major cities of China in future.

Simorgh Air introduced two evening flights to Paris and Frankfurt since the beginning of September 2009. After these additions, we are flying 10 times a week to Paris and 11 times a week to Frankfurt.

Since 20th July, Simorgh Air launches daily flight to Gatwick airport as the third daily flight serves London. The flight are operated by Airbus A330 which departs Tehran to London-Gatwick at 06:05 AM everyday. Also as an other extension to the European network, daily flights to Paris CDG are operated by the modern fleet of 777.

Due to some problems occured in Iranian internet connections after the Iranian election, Simorgh Air will no longer accept new pilots at least up to the end of June. The virtual airline, deeply apologizes the pilots who have been registered in our database and hope to be able to accept the pilots in roster by the end of June.

After arriving the latest addition to the 777 fleet, a new route launched to Jakarta via Kuala Lumpur. This flight departs Tehran every night and is connected to our Europe and Middle East network.

Stockholm is now served as the first Scandinavian destination 4 times a week. Our 3rd B777-200ER is also flying to Frankfurt daily as our first two ones are operating second London daily flight and Bangkok-Hongkong.

The pilots in Iran still have to connect to FSAirlines via some anti filter software but despite of facing to this problem, they are still active and we are so hopeful to grow so fast in future.

Since very first hours of November, a problem occurred on FSAirlines server that prevents pilots to fly under the system. However this is not our fault but by this way we apologize all pilots due to this problem; we are communicating with FSAirlines administrators to find a solution for the problem. It is notable to say that this problem is on all users they connect to the net in Iran. We are also looking forward to finding a new system for our database to replace on FSAirlines if the problem remains.

Simorgh Air flys to Geneva and Vienna from 1st November 2008. It is also planned for the VA to launch daily flights to Karachi as the first destination within Pakistan.

The two first 737-800s are now operational on Simorgh Air domestic routes. Two more of this type will be flying in near future. At the following, all 4 737-900ERs which used to fly on Mehrabad hub will fly on International routes from Imam Khomeini Int'l airport. It is notable that the VA now flies to Colombo, Srilanka and Male, Maldives and new flights to Larnaca, Athens and Vienna will be started in near future.

FlyNET flying network is going to move its database to the new website, FSAirlines.net as it was expected and planned before. From 19th September 2008 All pilots could fly on FSAirlines network and could send their reports through the brand new Client software which is available on the FSAirlines website. The problem occured on Flynet server some days ago is now solved and pilots are able to send their flight reports as it was used to be done before. This is strongly recommended to all pilots to download the latest version of the Client for having a higher degree of security. Thank you for being patient.

Due to an unpredictable problem faced to Flynet server, pilots will not be able to fly on Flynet system up to next announcement. Flynet administrators are working hard to solve the problem; Simorgh Air is also working to find a temporary solution for flight reporting in short term.

A fleet of next generation 737-800s will be replaced on current 737-900ERs on domestic routes. At the following, remained 737-900ERs at Mehrabad Intl airport will be ferried to IKA Airport to keep on flying on International flights. The -800 series will carry less passengers but more amount of cargo and are more compatible for domestic routes.

A good relationship has been started between Simorgh Air and the most successful Iranian flight simulator community, Iransim which has more than six years of activity in flight simmig and is well-known internationally. Simorgh Air VA is willing to become more popular among Iranian flight simmers after this partnership.

Avsim, one of the biggest flight simulator communities on the net, recognized Simorgh Air as the second Iranian virtual airline on its website. It will be a new gateway on the way to be operational worldwide.

First Boeing 737-700ER has joined the fleet to be a suitable type for carrying few passengers on long routes. This aircraft is mostly purposed to fly African routes in future. In first step Simorgh Air started to fly Nairobi 3 times a week and Delhi daily; also Mumbai is served 11 times a week now.

All international flights from metropolitan city of Tehran, will be departed from Imam Khomeini Int'l airport since July 2008. Simorgh Air is the first virtual airline to transfer all its international flights to this airport. Imam Khomeini Int'l airport will be more capable to accept all current and future international flights of the VA.

From 1st Jul 2008 Simorgh Air is going to start daily flights to London/Heathrow and Jakarta from Tehran. Jakarta flights make stop at Singapore. Following of route expanding policies, it is expected for the airline to start some other European destinations such as Amsterdam and Paris as well as some other ones in Asia specially amazing Hong Kong.

3 brand new 737-900ERs arrived to Tehran to start flights for the growing Simorgh Air; According to the agreement Simorgh Air has signed with the manufacturer, the aircrafts join the fleet from 1st quarter 2008. The airline anticipates that new routes from Tehran whether domestic or international are capable to attract too many passengers so the new high capacity aircrafts are able to serve expected passengers. Due to economical operating costs of this type, Simorgh is expected to prevent some costs and become able to offer more reliable services in future.

3 new Fokker F100s are added to fleet for replacing on Fokker F28 fleet. The new ones which are registered as EP-SFJ, EP-SFP and EP-SFQ are located at Esfahan airport from begining hours of wednesday 12th March. In addition 2 leased A300-600s are delivered to the airline and commercial flights of this type will be opened from 13th March in exact planned time up to one month during the Nowrooz (Iranian new year) peak.

Simorgh Air is going to lease two A300-600s for handling extraordinary flights for holidays of nowrooz (from 13thMar till 11thApr). the aircrafts are coming from the Turkish airline, Onur Air and will fly mostly charter flights in both domestic and international.

For having more challanging conditions and flying more competitive, SIV decreased the multiplier of revenue on FlyNet network 95%! Now multiplier in 50x while it was 1000x before. So the pilots are expected to fly more to maintain the airline growing fast!

At the following of fleet expansion policies, Simorgh Air chose Boeing 737-900ER as a reliable option for widening the network in both domestic and international. The very first Boeing aircraft to the airline will be delivered during future days.

After arriving the second F100 of the airline, SIV starts flights from Kish Island to Arabian countries on southern coasts of the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea.

First Fokker F100 deliverd to the Simorgh Air under registration code of EP-SFK. the aircraft transfered to Mashhad city for flying mostly domestic flights from the holy city of Iran to overall country. some F100s are going to be added to the fleet during next days, most of them will be registered at Mashhad and the capital, Tehran.

Simorgh Air starts flying as a Virtual Airline within Iran. The first member of fleet is a Fokker F28 which starts her flights from Esfahan, the historical city of Iran.
